708 Mental Health Board
The Mental Health Board utilizes it's resources to stimulate the development and growth of needed services including preventative services, and to encourage and sustain effective and cost efficient service options to meet the mental health needs of our county residents.

Administration Committee
Responsibilities of the Administration Committee include overseeing County buildings and grounds, equipment, personnel practices, insurance, bonds, and labor contracts.

Executive Committee
Responsibilities of the Executive Committee economic development activities and all other matters pertaining to County government that are not included in the duties of the other standing committees.

Finance Committee
Responsibilities of the Finance Committee include budget preparation and administration, fees and salaries, tax levy and assessments, and county accounts.

Health & Social Services Committee
Responsibilities of the Health and Social Services Committee include overseeing the Board of Health, the 708 Board, mentally deficient persons, the County Farm, and the Hillcrest Home.

Planning & Development Committee
Responsibilities of the Planning and Development Committee include zoning, subdivision, planning building, floodplain, and solid waste management services.

Public Safety Committee
Responsibilities of the Public Safety Committee include law enforcement, liquor control, civil defense, E911, and animal control services.

Transportation Committee
Responsibilities of the Transportation Committee include the construction and maintenance of all County Highways, motor fuel tax, roads, and bridges.
